Cancelling Your Pro Subscription

How to cancel Krokanti Notes Pro — what happens to your notes, and how to resubscribe later.

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time — no questions asked, no cancellation fees.

How to Cancel

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Click Manage billing
  3. You're redirected to the Stripe Customer Portal
  4. Click Cancel plan
  5. Confirm the cancellation

Your Pro access continues until the end of your current billing period — you're not cut off immediately.

If you cancel on the 10th of the month and your billing date is the 25th, you keep Pro access until the 25th. No refund is issued for unused days.

What Happens After Cancellation

When your Pro period ends and you return to the free plan:

  • Your notes are preserved — we never delete your content
  • The first 100 notes remain fully editable
  • Notes beyond 100 become read-only — you can view and export them, but not edit or create new notes until you're under the 100-note limit
  • All your settings, tags, and folders remain intact

Before You Cancel — Export Your Data

If you have more than 100 notes, we recommend exporting them before cancelling:

  1. Go to Settings → Data
  2. Click Export all notes — downloads a ZIP of all your notes as Markdown files
  3. Store the ZIP somewhere safe

This gives you a complete backup regardless of account status.

Deleting notes you no longer need is another option — if you trim down to under 100 active notes, the free plan covers everything and you don't lose access to anything.

Resubscribing

You can resubscribe at any time:

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Click Upgrade to Pro
  3. Complete the Stripe checkout

All your notes (including any that were read-only) become editable again immediately.

Requesting a Refund

We don't offer refunds for partial billing periods, but we make exceptions for technical issues or billing errors. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@krokanti.com within 7 days of the charge.

Include:

  • Your registered email address
  • The charge amount and date
  • A description of the issue

We'll review and process refunds within 3–5 business days.
